The IAPMO Group is pleased to announce it has hired Sanjay “Jay” Mishra as Uniform Evaluation Services’ vice president of Building Product Testing.
Mishra comes to IAPMO after 24 years as vice president of RADCO in Long Beach, Calif., where he managed the company’s testing laboratory and building code coordination activities. His main focus was to structure, analyze, evaluate and report on physical compliance testing conducted on industrial building products for code bodies and federal/state regulatory approval. He also designed and developed procedures for manufacturers’ quality assurance programs, represented clients as an expert witness in cases related to water damage, weathering and structural design, and was the chief information officer at RADCO, handling all aspects of IT-related functions. Since 1990, he has authored technical test reports for submittal and acceptance by federal, state and city governments and regulatory agencies nationwide.

Mishra’s duties with IAPMO will include helping formulate testing plans, and overseeing inspection agency certifications and the new fabricator program, the latter of which seeks to provide assurance to code officials and building owners that the steel and concrete building systems being fabricated comply with the specified building code requirements.

Mishra earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University in India and a Master of Science degree in technological systems management from State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society for Testing & Materials.
