The USHGC and USPSHTC are model codes developed by IAPMO to govern the installation and inspection of solar energy and hydronic and geothermal energy systems, and swimming pool, spa, and hot tub systems, respectively, as a means of promoting the public’s health, safety, and welfare. The 2018 edition of each code, scheduled for publication later this year, is being developed through a process accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Anyone may appeal to the executive committee of the USHGC/USPSHTC in accordance with Section 9.0 of the IAPMO Regulations Governing Consensus Development of the USHGC and USPSHTC, which can be viewed HERE.

The notification of intent to file a written appeal deadline is May 21.
