IAPMO R&T, North America’s premier third party certification body for plumbing and mechanical products, IAPMO R&T Lab and IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Services (UES) today concluded the 2015 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, one of the largest trade events in the United States bringing together kitchen and bath dealers, designers, architects, remodelers, wholesalers and custom builders for residential and commercial kitchens and bathrooms. The show was co-located with the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS), with more than 125,000 visitors in attendance.
The IAPMO R&T and R&T Lab booths were busy as representatives promoted a comprehensive menu of product testing and conformity assessment services available throughout the North American continent — the United States, Canada and Mexico, the only provider accredited to offer such coverage. Existing customers received answers to questions about their listed products, adding a Mexican listing to their certificates, achieving WaterSense® certification, and updates to the UPC and other regulatory issues that may affect them. Prospective clients learned about the marketing advantage and code compliance achieved by procuring third-party product certification through IAPMO R&T, as well as IAPMO EGS’ recent recognition by OSHA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) providing independent testing and listing for plumbing products incorporating electrical components.
IAPMO R&T is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in the United States, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) in Canada, and entidad mexicana de acreditación, a.c. (ema) in Mexico. IAPMO R&T’s certification marks of conformity carry the organization’s more than 70-year reputation for integrity and accountability and are readily recognized throughout North America.
“KBIS was a huge success for IAPMO R&T, strengthening our steadfast relationship with manufacturers,” said Jin Luo, a senior vice president for IAPMO R&T. “This show provided ample opportunity to demonstrate the significant value of our marks of conformity, the most widely recognized marks in our industry.”
IAPMO UES, a far more efficient but no less credible alternative to other providers of building product evaluation reports, encountered great interest in its fast-track services for manufacturers seeking rapid speed to market for their innovative new building products.
