IAPMO Makes Two Tentative Interim Amendments (TIA) Available for Public Comment

In accordance with the IAPMO Regulations Governing Committee Projects, IAPMO would like to announce that two Tentative Interim Amendments (TIA) to the 2018 edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) are being submitted for public comment.

TIA UPC 004-18 revises text in UPC Section 1506.7 (On-Site Treated Nonpotable Water Devices and Systems) regarding devices or equipment used to treat on-site treated nonpotable water. The comment form is located at:

TIA UPC 005-18 revises text in UPC Table 603.2 (Backflow Prevention Devices, Assemblies, and Methods) regarding the installation of an atmospheric vacuum breaker. The comment form is located at:

IAPMO invites all interested parties to review the proposed TIAs on the IAPMO website under Uniform Plumbing Code / Proposed TIAs and respond by filling out the comment form.

The deadline to submit comments is Dec. 2.
