Be Ahead of the Curve — Get Annex F Certification with IAPMO R&T Before It Becomes Mandatory

Effective July 1, 2012, Annex F of NSF Standard 61, which reduces from 15 ppb to 5 ppb the allowable lead limit in products that come into contact with drinking water, will become a mandatory provision of the standard and require recertification of all listings to the new requirements.

IAPMO R&T, North America’s leading third party certification body for plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas products, encourages manufacturers to take a proactive approach and complete the process now, well in advance of the deadline.

“Annex F certification offers manufacturers an opportunity to distinguish themselves from their competitors by having their Annex F-compliant products in the marketplace long before the new requirements become mandatory,” said Anish Desai, IAPMO R&T director of Product Certification. “We offer a very competitive price with the high level of expertise and responsive customer service that clients have come to expect from IAPMO R&T since 1936.”

IAPMO R&T personnel are happy to answer any questions manufacturers may have about the changes to Standard 61 and what is necessary to achieve compliance.
