Road to 100: How Members Can Make 2026 a Milestone Year

In May, IAPMO enters its 100th year, a once-in-a-century moment to celebrate our shared legacy and shape what comes next. Founded in May 1926, the association has grown from a small cohort of Los Angeles plumbing inspectors into a global community advancing codes, standards, training, and public health worldwide.

Thank You, Members!

This milestone belongs to you. Your commitment, expertise, and passion have built IAPMO into the strong, respected organization it is today. Every chapter meeting attended, every referral made, every training completed has contributed to this legacy.

From all of us at IAPMO: Thank you for helping us reach 100 years of excellence. Together, we’ll make the next century even stronger!

As We Kick Off the Year: 5 Ways to Make Our Centennial the Biggest Ever

1) Be Active in Your Local Chapter
Local chapters are where IAPMO’s mission comes to life — through engagement, education, and service. Attend meetings, raise your hand to help with programs, or explore leadership opportunities. Go to https://iapmome.org/chapters/ to find a chapter near you.

2) Refer a Friend: Grow the Community, Strengthen the Industry
Invite a peer to join IAPMO this year. Membership delivers tangible benefits such as discounts on publications, education savings, networking opportunities, and a voice in the code development process. Your referral helps expand expertise and representation across the industry.

3) Upskill with IAPMO: Use Your Education Voucher
Make 2026 your skill-building year. Redeem your member education voucher or register for an IAPMO training co urse — many are offered virtually and state-specific.

4) Mark Your Calendar: IAPMO’s Annual Conference
The 2026 Annual Education and Business Conference takes place Sept. 13-17 at the Sheraton Universal in Universal City, California. Expect rich education tracks, networking, and special centennial programming. Save the dates and watch for registration announcements.

5) Stay Informed: Subscribe to IAPMO Emails
Don’t miss conference updates, training offers, and industry news. Ensure you’re subscribed to IAPMO communications. If you’re not receiving emails, update your contact information today.

Why It Matters

Your engagement — whether through chapters, referrals, training, or events — helps elevate the profession and safeguard public health. Let’s make 2026 a year to remember!
