Registration Is Open for the 2021 Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) Exam

Did you know that the quickest way to get recognized as an expert in plumbing system design is to have the CPD designation after your name? In fact, many employers require the CPD credential when posting jobs in the plumbing engineering field, so getting certified increases your opportunities for career growth.

What Is the CPD?

The Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) credential program is administered by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). It is the only international credential in the plumbing engineering industry, and it provides a single, comprehensive qualification of professional competence for engineers and designers of plumbing systems.

How Can I Become a CPD?

To become a CPD you must pass the CPD exam, which is being held via remote proctor this year from April 5-16.

To be eligible to take the CPD exam, you must have a minimum of four years of experience in a position of responsibility for the design of plumbing systems and possess a baccalaureate degree in a field related to engineering. In lieu of an accredited degree, you may substitute up to an additional four years of practical experience in the design of plumbing systems, for a total of eight years, or be granted a credit of one-half year of practical experience for each full year of education in an accredited curriculum related to plumbing engineering.

How Do I Get Started?
