The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO®) is seeking volunteers with technical background in plumbing and mechanical systems — such as jurisdictional authorities, testing lab and educational facility representatives, as well as manufacturing experts — to participate on the IAPMO Z1390 technical subcommittee (TSC). A new standard, Z1390 for adult changing stations, will be developed by this TSC.

The Z1390 TSC members will be assisting the Plumbing Standards Committee (PSC) with the development of Z1390 as a new American National Standard and National Standard of Canada. The Z1390 TSC will also be responsible for the content and processing of public review comments.

The Z1390 TSC will operate in accordance with IAPMO’s accredited procedures for standards development IAPMO PP-1 (Policies and Procedures for Consensus Development of American National Standards) and IAPMO PP-2 (Policies and Procedures for Development of National Standards of Canada).

Interested parties wishing to serve on the Z1390 TSC for adult changing stations, please contact IAPMO Standards at standards@iapmostandards.org with a completed application as well as a copy of your résumé by Sept. 27. Applications can be downloaded HERE.

You may contact Terry Burger at terry.burger@iapmo.org or call (909) 519-0740 with any questions.
