ASSE International has hired Sabrina Pott to the position of staff engineer. Pott’s primary responsibilities in this position will include reviewing ASSE product listing (SEAL) reports and applications for technical content, performing factory and laboratory audits, coordinating the development, technical review and revision of product standards, and fielding technical questions from manufacturers, labs, code officials and the general public.
Pott joins ASSE International with 30 years of experience in the fields of civil engineering, building code administration, building product evaluation and the natural gas industry. Most recently, she spent 12 years as an engineer with ICC Evaluation Service.
“I, along with the listees of ASSE International, have been very eager to fill the important position of staff engineer,” said ASSE International Executive Director Scott Hamilton. “Sabrina’s combined experience in engineering, product evaluation and code compliance make her an ideal candidate to fill this position and I am very pleased to welcome her to our staff.”
Pott holds a civil engineering degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. Prior to her time with ICC Evaluation Service, Pott worked as a consulting engineer for various firms and spent time working as a design engineer and field supervisor for a local natural gas utility. While working as a consulting engineer, her many design projects included FAA radar sites, cellular tower sites and general site development projects.
