INDIANAPOLIS, — In an effort to ensure seamless transition into 2023 regulatory compliance, Carrier and Bryant hosted two, four-day National Dealer Conventions at The Venetian in Las Vegas in September and October. The back-to-back conventions provided an immersive experience with customized educational presentations, a hands-on trade show and networking opportunities that brought thousands of HVAC professionals together for the first time in over 16 years. The conventions provided 46 education-packed presentations, access to 47 interactive trade show exhibitors and eight networking events with the goal of getting dealers #2023READY in advance of the Department of Energy (DOE) industry-wide changes coming Jan. 1, 2023.
Carrier Chairman and CEO Dave Gitlin welcomed dealers to the events. Chris Nelson, President, HVAC, Carrier and Justin Keppy, President of Residential and Light Commercial HVAC, Carrier also made remarks on the main stage.
“With this DOE transition, we focused on what matters to our dealers most − having a competitive advantage,” Nelson said.
Major industry-leading product innovations were announced at the events, including InteliSense™, near field communication capabilities, Vertex™ technology and the future of digital in HVAC and manufacturing. To ensure years of robust and high-quality products for 2023 and beyond, Carrier has conducted more than 20,000 engineering tests over several years on its industry-leading solutions. Carrier is also providing more than seven hours of education and training to the best in the field, highlighting its commitment to saving dealers and customers time and money, while offering more efficient and sustainable comfort products.

Participants were treated to keynote presentations by Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski and Bear Grylls and enjoyed live exclusive performances from the Steve Miller Band and Darius Rucker. A special VRF endorsement from HGTV star Jonathan Scott and actress Zooey Deschanel appeared during mainstage and breakout presentations.
Additionally, Carrier hosted its Factory Authorized Dealer (FAD) reception and a Hall of Fame induction while Bryant hosted a Women in HVAC networking lunch.
