IAPMO Group Indonesia and SPIA Product Conformity Audit Services, Inc. (SPIA) are pleased to announce a collaboration in which they will provide the only testing and certification service in Indonesia for ceramic tile manufacturers looking to enter the Philippine market.
IAPMO Group Indonesia’s testing laboratory was recently approved by the Department of Trade and Industry — Bureau of Philippine Standards to test ceramic tiles to standard PNS ISO 13006:2019, making it the only laboratory in Indonesia to attain such recognition. The recognition was achieved in collaboration with SPIA. PT. IAPMO Group Indonesia will conduct the testing and audit services, and SPIA will provide the certification service.
Ceramic tiles must be certified to be sold in the Philippines in accordance with the Department of Trade and Industry Memorandum Circular 21-12 and Department Administrative Order 20-09, and previously only laboratories in the Philippines and China had been recognized to perform this testing. The recognition will make it easier for manufacturers already certifying their ceramic tiles with PT. IAPMO Group Indonesia for sale in Indonesia to achieve certification to enter the Philippine market.
“We are pleased that through our collaboration with SPIA, we can offer a one-stop solution for the ceramic tile industry to enter the Philippine market,” said PT. IAPMO Group Indonesia Senior Vice President Shirley Dewi.
