IAPMO ES, a trusted name in the evaluation of building products, materials and designs, completed an evaluation report for several wood-to-wood connector products on behalf of Simpson Strong-Tie, an industry leader in the manufacture of structural building components.
The report includes evaluations of both long established Simpson Strong-Tie products and newer entries to the marketplace, including several angle, clip and tie connectors used to attach structural wood members. These connectors are core products of the Simpson Strong-Tie brand and are used nationwide by design engineers, builders and contractors.
“The technical review provided by IAPMO ES was very thorough and Simpson Strong-Tie is pleased to see that IAPMO ES is applying a quality detailed review,” said Jeremy Gilstrap, manager of Engineering R&D for Simpson Strong-Tie. “The comments were sound and applicable to the product being evaluated.”
A leader in structural systems research and technology, Simpson Strong-Tie is one of the largest suppliers of structural building products in the world.
“Our work on behalf of Simpson Strong-Tie illustrate the trust industry leaders have placed in IAPMO ES to perform thorough building product reviews in a timely manner,” said Amir Zamanian, director of IAPMO ES.
“Manufacturers now have a choice for their evaluation reports, and they’re increasingly choosing IAPMO ES.”
