Hansgrohe AG, a manufacturer of faucets and showerheads, has become the first manufacturer to certify their products to the new IAPMO R&T Inc. Green Certification program.
This listing identifies products that are water efficient based on the water use reduction when compared to the water use baseline indicated in each specification.
Navigating through the various “Green” codes, standards and rating systems in the marketplace has created a great deal of confusion. Now building officials, inspectors, architects and consumers can easily verify which Hansgrohe products meets the Green Plumbing & Mechanical Code Supplement (IAPMO Green), LEED®, or CalGreen requirements by looking at one certificate.
“The revised ‘Green’ certification program is of great benefit to manufacturers”, said Senior Product Review Engineer Arturo Robles,” Manufacturers no longer need to invest time and personnel researching information on whether a product will comply with the various Green requirements. This can be determined at the time of testing and a certificate issued which will have the information needed in one location”.

IAPMO R&T certifies and lists plumbing, mechanical, electrical and solar products according to established US and Canadian codes and standards, ensuring continuous compliance to such documents. IAPMO R&T is part of The IAPMO Group’s family of companies.
