ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 8000-2010, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Replenishment Systems Professional Qualifications Standard
Westlake, Ohio, — On March 3, 2011, the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) recognized the ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 8000-2010, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Replenishment Systems Professional Qualifications Standard, as an American National Standard. The Series 8000 was approved by the American Society of Sanitary Engineering’s Board of Directors in December of 2010.
The ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 8000-2010, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Replenishment Systems Professional Qualifications Standard, contains the uniform minimum requirements for qualified installers, inspectors and verifiers of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Replenishment Systems. Working with America’s fire service, ASSE developed the Series 8000 in order to ensure that these life safety systems are installed and tested to the highest standard known. Certifying those who install, inspect and verify Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Replenishment Systems is equally as important as training those who will use these systems.
The recently ANSI Approved Series 8000 is currently available for purchase, in both electronic and hard copy versions, at the ASSE Webstore.
