The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials ®(IAPMO) has uploaded the 2015 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code® (USPSHTC) Report on Comments book and the 2015 Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code® (USEHC) Report on Comments book.
The Report on Comments (ROC) is published during the final year of each code’s development process. This document contains the comments received on proposed changes, the committee’s action and the committee’s statement explaining any non-affirming votes. For members of the technical committee who choose to abstain from voting or voted negatively, a statement as to their reasons is also included.
The USPSHTC and USEHC are model codes developed by IAPMO to govern the installation and inspection of swimming pool, spa and hot tub systems, and solar energy and hydronic systems, respectively, as a means of promoting the public’s health, safety and welfare. The 2015 edition of each code, due for release later this year, is being developed through a process accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
IAPMO was granted Audited Designator Status by ANSI in September 2011, enabling the 88-year-old code development body to designate the USPSHTC and USEHC as American National Standards without receiving prior approval by the ANSI Board of Standards Review.
The USPSHTC and USEHC are available now for public review and comments. Anyone wishing to comment may do so through May 1, 2015. You can submit your public comment online.
