RPA Seeks Technical Services Manager, Restores Membership, Reinstates Showcase Competition and Announces Annual Membership Meeting

Mokena, Ill. — The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) is seeking a Manager, RPA Technical Services to lead the RPA’s development of a Solar/Radiant/Hydronics Code and keep RPA members abreast of new or expanded areas of interest, products and services. Individuals with experience in the design and installation of radiant, hydronic and solar technologies preferred.

Since the creation of the new RPA in January, member service has continued to be delivered every day. This new manager will help provide more comprehensive assistance to members and also serve as RPA’s technical voice in industry journals, magazine columns, and at industry technical meetings, trade shows and expositions, as well as representing RPA as a speaker and educator. The complete position description can be found via IAPMO’s Website.

RPA members are reassured that all memberships are considered current and in good standing until Aug. 1, 2012, no matter when membership expired. Renewal letters will be issued in June stating that renewal membership fees are expected on or before July 30 to receive the reset date of Aug. 1, 2012. Members who are not expired as of Aug. 1 will be reset with no renewal fee required.

The annual SHOWCASE Awards Program will be conducted in 2012. RPA’s Membership Committee will conduct the competition. For this year, due to the time constraint, a “Best of the Best” theme will be presented. This will be an abridged version of the competition, and instead of a team of judges made up of industry technical experts RPA members will select the winner during the annual meeting. An announcement about the 2012 Showcase will be made in the spring edition of Radiant Living and the application will be posted on RPA’s Website.

The annual membership meeting will be held concurrently with Penton’s Mechanical Systems Week Conference, Sept. 19‐21 in Chicago. More details about the annual membership meeting will be posted on the new RPA Website as soon as it is operational: www.RadiantProfessionalsAlliance.org.

This upcoming new RPA Website will be RPA’s primary form of communication with its members. The Website will also include a bulletin board for “members only” to exchange dialog about radiant and hydronic issues, with new links to social media outlets.

For more information about the RPA and all activities associated with the RPA, contact the director by email: Kathleen.Mihelich@RadiantProfessionalsAlliance.org or by phone: 708‐995‐3003 or at RPA’s headquarters located at IAPMO’s Chicago regional office: 18927 Hickory Creek Drive., Suite 140, Mokena, IL 60448.
