Industry Buzz Surrounds IAPMO R&T’s Electro-Plumbing Certification Program

The number of plumbing fixtures and appliances incorporating electronic elements has grown exponentially in recent months and IAPMO R&T has remained ahead of the curve by offering electro-plumbing product certification to
manufacturers of these new innovations.

From familiar products like electric spas and swimming pool pumps to hydromassage tubs and underwater luminaries, IAPMO R&T offers certification services to show each of these products is in full compliance with all of the applicable codes and standards that govern their performance, installation and use.

The hiring of Daniel Woodcock to head up this program is further proof of IAPMO R&T’s commitment to certifying this line of products. Mr. Woodcock brings more than 12 years experience conducting electro-plumbing product certification on behalf of two major conformity assessment bodies prior to joining IAPMO R&T.

Two major clients have already initiated the certification of their products in this field with IAPMO R&T. Based upon the expected growth in this market, the electro-plumbing program will grow very rapidly as manufacturers seek credibility and speed for their product certification.

Furthermore, IAPMO R&T Lab recently expanded its facility to offer testing for electro-plumbing products, giving clients the money- and time-saving option of getting all of their necessary services under the same roof.
