IAPMO R&T, North America’s premier plumbing and mechanical product certification agency, has expanded the scope of certifications to the Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC®) to include cooking appliances as well as the traditional heating, ventilation and air conditioning products. This certification complies with nationally recognized procedures outlined by its recent accreditation scope extension by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This certification formally establishes IAPMO R&T as a better, more efficient option for manufacturers seeking mechanical certification of their ranges, ovens and kitchen ventilation products.
