IAPMO R&T, North America’s leading third party certification body for plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas products, is offering to add language demonstrating International Residential Code® (IRC) compliance to any qualifying product with an existing IAPMO R&T listing certificate to the requirements of the International Plumbing Code® (IPC).
Manufacturers whose products have been certified by IAPMO R&T to demonstrate IPC compliance will see an additional statement in their listing certificates showing the IRC compliance, provided they meet the requirements of the IRC. IAPMO R&T will process the listing certificate with this valuable addition completely free of charge.
“We are always looking for ways to give clients the most bang for their buck, especially in these less than certain economic times,” said Anish Desai, IAPMO R&T director of Product Certification. “Many of our certificates demonstrating IPC compliance meet the IRC requirements, as well, but simply lack the certification. We are happy to offer this additional compliance wording to every manufacturer whose products qualify.”
Since 1936, manufacturers have trusted IAPMO R&T to certify products that meet every required standard and provide a mark of conformity readily accepted by Authorities Having Jurisdiction. To find out more about IAPMO R&T’s comprehensive menu of certification services, direct your Web browser to www.iapmort.org or contact Karen Snowden or Brenda Madonna at (909) 472-4100.
IAPMO R&T certifies and lists plumbing, mechanical, electrical and solar products according to established US and Canadian codes and standards, ensuring continuous compliance to such documents. IAPMO R&T is part of The IAPMO Group’s family of companies.
