IAPMO R&T Lab, a long-trusted name in independent testing, research and technical services for the plumbing, mechanical and electro-plumbing industries, announced today it has introduced a new testing capability, California Energy Commission (CEC) 2007 Appliance Efficiency Regulations, to its already comprehensive menu of services.
In accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 20, Sections 1601-1608, appliances that are sold or offered for sale in California shall comply with CEC 2007 Appliance Efficiency Regulations. (The exceptions are appliances sold wholesale in California for final retail sale outside the state and those designed and sold exclusively for use in recreational vehicles or other mobile equipment.)
IAPMO R&T Lab is now able to conduct testing on residential pool pumps and portable electric spas for compliance to CEC Appliance Efficiency Regulations Section 1604(g)(3) and CEC Appliance Efficiency Regulations Section 1604(g)(2), respectively.
The addition of CEC testing complements IAPMO R&T Lab’s existing electrical testing services, which include: design and construction consultation, liaison for UL/CSA certification, R&D testing and Third-Party Witness Testing for electro-plumbing, lighting, appliances, HVAC and pool and spa products.
“These new testing capabilities are just another example of how IAPMO R&T Lab continues to expand its reach and our ability to serve clients as a one-stop shop for all of their product testing needs,” said Ken Wijaya, senior director of IAPMO R&T Lab.
