In a major advancement for testing and certification services in India, IAPMO® has officially opened its new cutting-edge laboratory in Beretena Agrahara, Bengaluru. Aptly named “Navarambh — A New Beginning,” the lab marks a significant upgrade over IAPMO India’s previous facility, reflecting the organization’s commitment to innovation and excellence in testing.
Located at No. 38/1 and 38/2 Ahmed Plaza, the new 1,200-square-foot office and 7,800-square-foot laboratory boast world-class infrastructure, featuring specialized facilities such as a performance lab, an analytical lab, and a microbiology lab equipped with high-end instrumentation. These advanced capabilities enable IAPMO India to meet national and international standards for testing physical, chemical and biological contaminant reduction.
The IAPMO R&T-recognized lab can test and certify in accordance with NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 55 and 58 standards; NSF/ANSI/CAN 60, 61 standards; and the NSF P231 protocol. The advanced microbiology lab features a class-10,000 area with cleanrooms and a walkable false ceiling to ensure sterility and accuracy in testing, and the capability to handle bacteria, virus and cysts. The lab’s advanced test rigs and state-of-the-art equipment are designed to increase the scope of testing, enhance certifications, and offer a quicker turnaround time, ensuring faster project completion.
By reducing turnaround time, IAPMO India aims to handle more projects than before, thanks to the efficiency of the new setup.

The facility boasts upgraded and more reliable electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and IT than the previous lab, as well as critical tools like digital flow and pressure meters and a data acquisition system that allow it to meet global testing standards. The new laboratory also has a centralized server that connects directly to IAPMO headquarters, ensuring seamless communication and data sharing that further boost operational efficiency.
“Our new laboratory in Bengaluru represents a significant step forward for IAPMO India,” IAPMO Chief Technical Services Officer Tom Palkon said. “With advanced facilities and cutting-edge technology, we are now better positioned to serve our clients with enhanced efficiency and a broader scope of testing capabilities. This new beginning reaffirms our commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in testing and certification.”
