The California Division of the State Architect (DSA), which provides design and construction oversight for K–12 schools, community colleges, and various other state-owned and leased facilities, has revised its Uniform Standards and Procedures to add IAPMO Evaluation Services (IAPMO ES) as a recognized provider of evaluation reports.
As part of DSA’s Interpretation of Regulations revision on June 22, 2011, document IR A-5, Acceptance of Products, Materials, and Evaluation Reports, now includes IAPMO ES within the listing of recognized evaluation report providers in Section 3.3.
DSA develops accessibility, structural safety, fire and life safety, and historical building codes and standards utilized in various public and private buildings throughout the State of California.
“Gaining the recognition of the Division of the State Architect is another strong endorsement of IAPMO ES’ credibility in providing highly-reputable evaluation reports to the building products manufacturing industry,” said Amir Zamanian, director of IAPMO ES. “Recognition by the DSA clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of IAPMO ES reports within California and other states.”
