RPA Opens System Design Showcase Awards Competition Beyond Members

The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) is inviting entries from the entire industry — not just RPA members — for its 2015 System Design Showcase Awards. The annual competition, previously open only to individuals and companies who are RPA members, provides an opportunity for designers and contractors to demonstrate their creativity and finesse in design and competence in installation to their peers in the radiant and hydronics industry.

“The System Design Showcase has always been about highlighting innovation and foresight,” RPA Executive Director Mark Eatherton said. “By inviting a wider range of entries, the RPA hopes to share with the entire construction industry some of the groundbreaking work being produced by those designing and installing these cutting edge radiant and hydronics systems.”

Competition categories for 2015 are: New or Retrofit Residential; New or Retrofit Commercial; Snow/Ice Melting; Electric; Innovation; and Residential or Commercial Radiant Cooling.

Entries, including the completed application, a comprehensive description of the project, photos, and schematics/drawings, are due by Nov. 1. The contest forms and instructions can be downloaded here.

Winners will be announced during the AHR Expo in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 25-27, 2016. Winning projects will be featured in Radiant Living magazine, a respected trade publication that provides comprehensive industry exposure for this innovative work. Furthermore, first-place winners who are not already members of the RPA will receive a free one-year membership and all of the benefits thereof.

For more information, download the application and instructions or address any specific questions to Mark Eatherton by calling (877) 427-6601 or e-mailing mark.eatherton@radiantprofessionalsalliance.org. To review previous winning projects, click here.

The RPA’s mission is to provide superior leadership in the industry and foster the awareness of radiant and hydronic technologies in order to “Grow Radiant.” The RPA is a national chapter of IAPMO, representing the radiant and hydronic industry.
